about

A child no older than 15 stares at the cracks he created. This once perfect world was damaged and darkness was beginning to seep through. In time, that cracks would only widen and swallow everything. The child notices a flicker to his left and looks to see text has appeared on the console projected on the wall beside him. The text reads ‘Mistakes have been made’. The child has no idea what to do, these dangerous cracks were his doing. How could he live with such a terrible mistake? He walks over to a keyboard in the corner of the room and types in the word ‘help’. The text appears on the console beside him. He hesitates but he decides to be brave and press the return key. On the console, the text appears as follows:

‘Master computer is here to help you.
Type in ‘help’ to submit to dominion
Type in anything else to quit
Please enter your response:’

The child hesitates, knowing the magnitude of this decision but he types ‘help’ once again and presses return. He knows this is the correct decision. He is but flesh and blood. A mistake waiting to happen.

lyrics

Master computer, can you tell me what to do?
Every decision is such a haze only clarity lies with you

Master computer, can you tell me who to be?
I only want to be happy, comfortable and free

Master computer, can you tell me how to act?
I know I’d only act on whim instead of act on fact

Master computer can you tell me who to see?
I see so many faces but they all look the same to me

This endless noise is hurting me
How can I know what to believe

Master computer, can you tell me what to think?
There’s a gap in my opinion will you fill the missing link?

Master computer, can you tell me what is real?
How can I understand this world when I don’t even know how I feel?

You are my big brother
And I love you with all my heart

Just another empty box
Just another empty box

I think I left my heart in a playground
Desires abandoned under a Christmas tree
