about

As a young boy in the land of flesh and blood, he had always dreamed of escaping to the land of waves where tales told of a place where everything could be connected by a single thought and it was impossible for any greed of violence to exist. When his opportunity came for a one way ticket, he accepted it without a second thought and stepped immediately through the gate. Just as he had always dreamed, here he was in paradise. Everywhere he looked there was not a hind of sadness, anger or desire. Not even the slightest hints of paranoia or frustration found its way into his mind when they had been frequent occupants prior to his arrival. Until, after an unknown amount of time, he found a cave somewhere deep within the land of waves. Inside, here saw something he thought he could never see again – a body. A body with no hint of any injury or illness that could have killed the person but whose vacant stare could only be interpreted as death. Above the body are words carved into the wall saying, ‘Please help me master’. As he looks into the dead person’s eyes, he sees black so deep it stands out against the dark walls of the cave. Deep inside the blackness of the eyes, he sees a miniscule crack. He reaches out to touch this crack and, as he makes contact, the land of waves begins to decay one bit at a time and falls away to leave a world that he recognises and yet has never been in before. As he examines the strange world that he has ended up in he discovers that there is only one place that he could possibly be and must now live his life in. He finds himself inside the temple which is his own mind.

lyrics

Welcome to a place where the sun shines every day
Welcome to a place where sadness always goes away
Welcome to a place where nobody can feel any pain
Welcome to a place where everybody looks the same

Welcome to a place where nobody begs for more
Welcome to a place where everyone is always cured
Welcome to a place where everyone wants to remain
Welcome to a place where everyone thinks the same

Careful ‘round the cracks in this world
Don’t fall through any holes in this world
If its hope you look for its danger you’ll find
All can be fine if you avert your eyes
Just focus them on the paradise

Be careful what you wish for child
Hope is a dangerous thing
Welcome to paradise child
